Science-Dancing Raisins

Image
Dancing Raisins A fizzy drink contains bubbles of CO2(carbon dioxide gas). When you place raisins into a fizzy drink the raisins sink to the bottom to begin with, as they are heavier. The raisins then collect and drink the bubbles of CO2 which now make the raisins lighter so they rise to the top of the drink. When they reach the surface the gas bubbles burst and the raisins sink. Making Bubbles

Image
We all had great fun making our own bubble mixture in the classroom and creating different shaped bubbles. We constructed our own bubble wands using pipe cleaners. We made small bubbles and large bubbles, bubbles we could hold and bubbles we could stick a pencil through without bursting them. Our goal was to create a 3D bubble which proved very difficult but we managed it in the end. Why not try it out at home.
